I recommend you to use Unreal Engine and wach tutorials on Youtube. I Starded studying 3 months ago and I stopped after a month because I'm lazy.

And Unreal Engine has Blueprint, that means you don't have to write codes.
It look like boxes and cables, and it's better then write normal coods.

I forgot to say that you don't have to do things like AI because it's already coded.
And this is only for 3D games, you can make 2D games but you need plugin for that (I think).

okey

godot (https://godotengine.org) is a rly good game engine; it uses a language called gdscript, I recommend taking gdquest's course on how to write it (https://gdquest.github.io/learn-gdscript/#course/lesson-1-what-code-is-like/lesson.tres). for 2d visuals, aseprite (https://www.aseprite.org) is good for pixel art and krita (https://krita.org/en/) is good for traditional art and Inkscape (https://inkscape.org) is good for vector art. for 3d visuals, blender (https://www.blender.org) is good for everything and blockbench (https://www.blockbench.net) is good for ONLY lowpoly models. for sound, fl studio (https://www.image-line.com) is good for music and labchirp (https://labbed.net/software/labchirp/) is good for sfx. tutorials for any of these programs can be found on YouTube. if you got any questions about any of these programs, pls feel free to ask me
